Welcome to Class 1

Miss Wallace welcomes all children and their families to our school. She is the teacher of Class 1.

Our priority is to get to know each individual, to help them settle and enjoy participating in a wide range of learning experiences. Class One is all about developing the friendships, skills, attitudes and behaviours they will use for the rest of their school careers and indeed for the rest of their lives!

We have 15 Reception children and 16 Nursery children. The children enjoy learning together.

In Early Years we believe that play is the foundation of development and learning for young children. Your child will take part in many indoor and outdoor play experiences that will help them to learn and develop their knowledge, skills and resilience, but most of all have fun!

Welcome to Reception

In Year 1, the children continue to enjoy learning both outdoors and indoors. They continue to develop their skills and knowledge which is applied across all subjects. We want our Year 1 children to develop their resilience too. This helps them to become better learners.
